Changing TV video format

Your system can accept different video formats (i.e. NTSC or PAL). This is useful, for example, if the system is moved to a region that uses a different format.

To select a video format:

Using the system menu

  1. On the remote control, press the Settings button
Tip: If the system menu does not appear on your TV, be sure the correct TV input is selected
  2. Scroll down to System Setup, then press the Enter button
  3. Scroll down to Video Format
  4. Scroll right or left to select NTSC or PAL
  5. Press the Settings button to exit the menu
  6. Reset your system for the change to take effect. For more info, see Resetting your product.

Using the system display

If this setting is preventing your system from displaying video and on-screen menus, you can change it from the display on the system console.
  1. On the remote control press the Settings button
  2. Scroll down until Setup -E- appears on the console display, then press the Enter button
  3. Scroll down until VID-XXX appears
  4. Scroll right or left to select VID-NTSC or VID-PAL
  5. Press the Settings button to exit the menu
  6. Reset your system for the change to take effect. For more info, see Resetting your product.
