Multipoint is a Bluetooth technology that allows your SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) to maintain a connection to two paired source devices at the same time. Your speaker will seamlessly transition between the two devices, so you’re always connected to the active source device.
Shortcuts allow you to configure settings for the programmable shortcut button on SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen). You can manage your shortcut in the Bose App. Out of the box, the factory default shortcut is set to linking, allowing you to use the button to link two compatible Bose speakers without the app.
You can change your shortcut button to be connected to your Spotify account to begin music at the press of a button, access your Voice Assistant or other options that may become available with future firmware updates through the Bose App.
Yes. Using Bose SimpleSync technology, you can connect to your SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) from a SimpleSync-enabled Bose smart soundbar or Bose smart speaker to extend the reach of your listening to other places in the vicinity, such as an adjacent room. You can manage SimpleSync in the Bose App.
Yes, when there is an incoming call, pressing the play/pause button will answer the call, and double pressing the play/pause button will decline a call. Double press the play/pause button while in a call to end it.
Yes, SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) floats, but is not designed to be used while in water. SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) is designed to withstand accidental drops in water for up to 30 minutes. If SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) is directly exposed to salt or chlorinated water, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry thoroughly before use.
If debris gets into the charging port or other parts of SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen), gently rinse with fresh water or compressed air. Be sure charging ports are thoroughly dry before charging. For the larger exterior surfaces, wipe clean with a soft cloth. Avoid using cleaning products and let the speaker dry completely before operating.

Easy to set up & soft to the touch
I had previously had a different brand of speaker and the battery was always becoming the issue. I have Bose stereo speakers and know they are sensational so I purchased the SoundLink Flex Portable and I am more than happy that I did. Sounds great, looks great and feels great!

Just amazing apart from battery life
I’ve been really impressed with the Bose Flex 2. The sound quality is outstanding — rich, deep bass with crisp highs, and it gets even better when paired with another unit for stereo. For a speaker this size, it easily fills a room or outdoor space without distortion.
Love that it now charges via USB-C — finally! Much more convenient and modern.
The only downside is the battery behavior. It’s a bit unpredictable. Sometimes it lasts well over 10 hours, other times it drains quicker than expected even with similar use. Not sure if it’s a firmware thing or a battery calibration issue, but it’s something Bose should look into.
Still, overall, this is one of the best-sounding portable speakers I’ve used. Just wish the battery life was a little more consistent.

I puchased these 2 speakers a week and half ago $399.92 saw $178 each at Harvey Norman and JB HiFi the day they were delivered and today I saw on your email to me $99 each. I purchased these speakers as my Soundtouch 30 can not be fixed .I have been a Bose fan for many years but feel a bit jibbed

Wow! I baught a second speaker to replace a Sony mxcd3, which is failing. the Bose portable smart and old pair of original bt-soundlink headphones, had me thinking bose for sound nad perhapsconnectivity was the answer.
Not so... the unit seems overly large and for me the most sound comes from the right half with power button on top left. Can't sybcronize music playback between my smart and flex: even thogh they play in stereo (for 4 seconds) they give that away and then its party mode and I can't even use the smart speaker to control the group. I am considerably underwhelmed both by the size of the flex 2nd-gen and its lack of connectivity: so far as I am concerned, I should have spent my money on anotherbrand of speaker. Sound is good but that is all.

Pathetic!
I bought these speakers on the advice of the salesperson at JB HiFi with the information that the two speakers would pair with ease and have a stereo effect. I was told the sound was great. Well it didn't happen. No matter what I tried over a period of a week there was no way I could pair them. The sound was good but I could not find anyway to pair them even looking at tutorials or contacting Bose support. I explained to their chatbot and no solution was offered which was disappointing as I thought I might have been offered two new speakers with the possibility I had purchased a dysfunctional unit. Instead I bought two JBL's and they paired immediately. Very very disappointed!

Horrible customer service from start to finish!
Horrible customer service start to finish, item took weeks to arrive they kept taking money then not sending it. Dozens of calls trying to get a speaker and everyone is like a robot on the phone and said I will lodge a ticket and get back to you but no one ever did. Finally it arrived after cancelling first order and placing another and speaker arrived with fault on it. Had to return it and then that took forever chasing up my refund. They guarantee things on their site such as 2 day shipping but it’s false. Won’t buy from them ever again.
