Multipoint is a Bluetooth technology that allows your SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) to maintain a connection to two paired source devices at the same time. Your speaker will seamlessly transition between the two devices, so you’re always connected to the active source device.
Shortcuts allow you to configure settings for the programmable shortcut button on SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen). You can manage your shortcut in the Bose App. Out of the box, the factory default shortcut is set to linking, allowing you to use the button to link two compatible Bose speakers without the app.
You can change your shortcut button to be connected to your Spotify account to begin music at the press of a button, access your Voice Assistant or other options that may become available with future firmware updates through the Bose App.
Yes. Using Bose SimpleSync technology, you can connect to your SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) from a SimpleSync-enabled Bose smart soundbar or Bose smart speaker to extend the reach of your listening to other places in the vicinity, such as an adjacent room. You can manage SimpleSync in the Bose App.
Yes, when there is an incoming call, pressing the play/pause button will answer the call, and double pressing the play/pause button will decline a call. Double press the play/pause button while in a call to end it.
Yes, SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) floats, but is not designed to be used while in water. SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) is designed to withstand accidental drops in water for up to 30 minutes. If SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) is directly exposed to salt or chlorinated water, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry thoroughly before use.
If debris gets into the charging port or other parts of SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen), gently rinse with fresh water or compressed air. Be sure charging ports are thoroughly dry before charging. For the larger exterior surfaces, wipe clean with a soft cloth. Avoid using cleaning products and let the speaker dry completely before operating.

Small Unit, Absolute Weapon
This little brick has no business sounding this good.
The Bose SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) is compact, tough as nails, and absolutely pumps for its size. Deep, punchy bass without the muddy nonsense, crisp mids, and highs that cut through whether you’re indoors, outdoors, or halfway into a backyard session.
Build quality? Proper solid. It’s waterproof, dust-proof, and feels like you could accidentally boot it across the room and it’d still keep playing. Perfect for the beach, the shed, camping, or just moving from room to room without babying your gear.
Battery life is rock solid - chuck it on in the morning and forget about charging until later. Bluetooth connection is fast and stable, and it pairs cleanly without drama. No fiddling, no tech headaches - just connect and go.
Bottom line:
If you want big sound from a small, rugged speaker, this thing absolutely delivers. Classic Bose quality, turned up a notch.

Excellent portable speaker with great sound
Needing a new portable speaker I decided to get the Soundlink flex. Seeing the 2nd gen was on sale made it even better.
Bose delivered from the start - bought a.m. one day, delivered p.m. the next. Absolutely stunning service.
Setup was a dream - although I had an older Bose app for my headphones, the speaker was picked up by Bluetooth immediately and then it told me I needed a newer app so it sent me off to the app store.
Connection was simple, fast and no hassles. No wonder I am a Bose fanboi.
The sound from the speaker is great - recognising that it is not a stadium speaker the sound and range it has is impressive. Bass is enough to be enjoyable and the volume is enough for me. Whilst it's not going trekking or in a wide open place it will be used in my garage and around the house so the volume is fine. The range of the bluetooth connection is good too, so your music don't stop if you walk away with the phone.
I like the way you can hear the battery level by pushing a button.
My only concern, after using it for a couple of hours, is that the base is a bit small and it can be tipped over easily. I am using it in a mechanical workshop so it will be moved about the bench and it has already done a swan dive off a small ledge. I'll just need to be mindful but wider feet might be better.
End result is a happy customer with a new speaker.

Soundlink Flex2
A replacement for my old Soundlink which was good but this is so much better particularly as it now has the app. Only thing I miss from the old unit is the aux-in but the connectivity is good. I also like the voice prompts re battery and connection.
I like have eq on the app but three band is pretty basic - I would have liked more control.

Best mini of this size I've heard
It looks beautiful. For its size it packs a punch. I've got two Maxi's in a more permanent stereo set up, but the flex is perfect for travel or moving round the house. Sound is far bigger than it looks, including bass.
