Adjusting the volume level of the rear surround speakers

The volume level of both rear surround speakers can be adjusted independently of the front speakers. This is useful, for example, if you want to make the ambient audio from the rear speakers louder or quieter.

To turn up or down the surround speaker level:

The surround speaker level can be set from the menu on your TV or from the display on the system console.

Note: Your system must be set to five-speaker mode to adjust the surround speaker level.
  1. On the remote control, press the Settings button
Tip: If the system menu does not appear on your TV, be sure the correct TV input is selected
  2. Scroll down to select Surround Channel
  3. Scroll right to select the options
  4. Scroll up or down to select a setting (the default is 0)
  5. Press the Settings button to exit the menu.
