Setting Image View

This option is only available in the Settings menu when a VS-2 video enhancer is connected to the TV via HDMI® and the output signal is greater than or equal to 720p (if the system is set to "Fixed," then the source signal must be equal to or greater than 720p). This feature works much like aspect ratio control in that it will modify the picture by stretching it, zooming it or adding vertical grey bars. Image View was designed into the Bose® system because most TVs disable their own aspect ratio controls when viewing an HD signal over HDMI.

To set the Image View from the remote, press Image View multiple times to toggle through the available settings.

To set the Image View from the Settings menu, follow these steps:

Be sure the TV is on with the correct input selected

On the remote, press SETTINGS

Press the DOWN ARROW to highlight "image view"

Press the RIGHT ARROW to highlight the setting

Press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW to select the appropriate setting:

Normal: image is not changed

4:3 image on a widescreen TV

16:9 image on a widescreen TV

Zoom: image size is increased horizontally and vertically to fit the screen

Stretch: stretches the image horizontally to fit the screen

Grey bars: adds a vertical grey bar to the left and right sides of the normal image

Press Exit to save and leave the menu

Note: This feature is source dependent. If "Stretch" is selected for the TV input and the source is switched to Aux, the image will default to normal (unless it was previously changed). This setting is retained for each source; if you switch back to TV, the image will remain stretched.
