Skipping on all DVDs
This symptom describes consistent and repeatable skipping on all DVDs played in the system. It does NOT describe title specific issues, or issues with only some discs.
Be sure that disc skipping is the problem.
If the elapsed time counter on the display is not hesitating or pausing at the same time the audio is interrupted, see Intermittent audio from product.
Be sure all discs are skipping.
Verify that all discs are skipping by trying several discs. If only certain discs skip, see Skipping on certain DVDs.
Reset your media center.
A reset is used to correct occasional product issues. It is not something that a product should require repeatedly. For more information, see Resetting your product.
Check for sources of interference.
Electronics can pick up interference from other electronics connected to the same power circuit or connected within close proximity. Try disconnecting the power cord from any such nearby electronics (i.e. laptop/phone charger, TV, cable box, seasonal lights, microwave, etc.). If the issue is resolved, try connecting the device or your product to a different power circuit or farther away.
Your media center may need service.
If the steps provided do not resolve your issue, your product may need service. Follow the link below for more information on how to service your product. Depending on your product and region, you will be provided a contact number or the ability to setup service online.
